AdubianewsDr Gideon Boako, spokesperson for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has declared his firm belief that God will make Bawumia President of Ghana.
He drew inspiration from the political journeys of past New Patriotic Party (NPP) leaders, including John Agyekum Kufuor and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, insisting that Dr Bawumia’s path is also guided by divine providence.
Speaking on Citi FM on Thursday, August 28, shortly after Dr Bawumia filed his nomination to contest in the NPP’s upcoming flagbearer elections, Dr Boako described him as a man whose rise in politics has consistently defied expectations.
“Just as God helped President Kufuor and President Akufo-Addo to overcome many challenges and eventually lead this nation, He will also help Dr Bawumia to become President,” Dr Boako said.
He explained that Dr Bawumia’s political career reflects resilience, humility, and a vision that resonates strongly with the grassroots of the NPP. According to him, party members admire the former Vice-President’s leadership qualities and economic expertise, demonstrated throughout his tenure.
“We are not just talking about politics; we are talking about destiny. Dr Bawumia’s story shows that when God decides to elevate someone, no force can stop it,” he added.
The Tano North MP urged party members to stand firmly behind Dr Bawumia in the flagbearer race, stressing that unity and faith will be vital for the NPP to secure victory in the 2028 general elections.
He concluded that with divine guidance, Dr Bawumia will follow in the footsteps of Kufuor and Akufo-Addo to lead Ghana into its next chapter of progress.
