A niece of Ghana’s President Nana Akufo-Addo, Akusika Akuffo, has made the trends after making what many consider as degrading remarks about degrees earned from Ho Technical University.
Akuffo was commenting on the appointment of Jake Bediako as the Presidential Coordinator for Youth Engagement and Strategy at the Office of the President.
YEN.com.gh previously reported that many have described Bediako’s elevation as ‘job for the boys’ and heavily criticised the government.
Akusika Akuffo in a series of texts on her Instagram page, however, disagreed with the opposing views and labelled the disapproval of Bediako appointment by a section of the public as ”hatred”, saying certificates bagged at Cambridge and Columbia universities should not be compared to those earned from Ho Technical University in Ghana.
