Delali Sewoekpor believes the government led by President Akufo-Addo has normalized corruption aside cronyism that has put the NPP administration under bad light.
Reacting to the resignation of Martin Amidu as a Special Prosecutor on Pan African TV, the vociferous NDC man indicated that Akufo-Addo frustrated the work of Amidu because of the corrupt acts of his kinsmen in government, describing them as “Akyem Cabal.”
Amidu’s resignation comes weeks after he made public a corruption risk assessment report on the controversial Agyapa Royalties Agreement.
The deal, which had been kicked against by the Minority in Parliament and several civil society organizations, had two of Akufo-Addo’s cousins – Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Ata and private legal practitioner Gabby Asare-Otchere Darko– benefitting from it financially.
Amidu in his resignation letter accused President Akufo-Addo on interfering with his work.
