Per our checks, banker, economist, and a former MP for Okaikwei North Elizabeth K. Sackey would be appointed the new Mayor for Accra barring any last-minute changes.
The experienced politician according, to our sources, is the favourite in the list of the current Mayor Mohammed Adjei Sowah and former MP for Odododiodoo constituency Niibi Ayibontey.

Some NPP personalities who spoke about her appointment say she would succeed as the Mayor if appointed because of her no-nonsense character.
Sackey is a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
