FrimpongGhanaian giants Accra Hearts of Oak have been hit by a huge blow after three of their players were confirmed to have contracted Coronavirus just a week before the start of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.
The 2000 CAF Champions League winners returned to Accra on Friday following a two-week camping in Cape Coast ahead of the start of the cmapign where they drew two games with Proud United and Ebusua Dwarfs before beating Elmina Sharks in their last gsme.
The club on Saturday afternoon took to Twitter to announce that three of its players have tested positive for Covid-19.
However, the Phobians did not reveal the identity of the said affected players.
“Three people out of the team that went for corona test have tested positive, and have been referred to the appropriate quarters for isolation and treatment. We wish them well and hope to see them join us soon”, the club tweeted.
Hearts of Oak will begin their campaign with a trip to Dormaa to face Aduana Stars on Saturday , November 14 , 2020 at 3pm and the match will be shown live on StarTimes.
