Diella TekuGhanaian gospel artist Broda Sammy has called on church leaders to rethink their approach to ministry by prioritizing the welfare of their congregants.
Speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz monitored by adwoaadubianews.com, he expressed concern over church leaders accumulating wealth while neglecting the financial struggles of their members, a disparity he believes deters many from engaging with the faith.
Broda Sammy highlighted that many struggling church members, particularly women, face hardship-driven challenges, which sometimes lead them into precarious situations. He suggested that churches create welfare programs to address members’ basic needs, fostering a supportive environment that aligns with Christ’s message of compassion.
Broda Sammy also voiced opposition to the practice of disowning members for moral failings, advocating for a more forgiving and inclusive approach. He emphasized that churches focusing on uplifting their communities would not only strengthen existing members’ faith but also draw in new believers.
