Seasoned Journalist, Blessed Godsbrain Smart popularly known as “Captain smart” has revealed how Member of Parliament for Assin North, Kennedy Agyapong exposed the looted 51 million Cedis paid to Businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome.
Captain Smart explained that, the Hon. Kennedy Agyapong had to pay money to persons in certain places before copies of the 2010 and 2011 auditor Generals report was released to him.

This according to him was because Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee had deliberately decided to push the matter under the carpet. Speaking on his Fabewoso program on Angel FM, the seasoned journalist accused both political parties of deliberately pretending to be acting in the interest of Ghanaians to retrieve the money paid wrongly, while in actual fact, they are just looking for ways to help him escape punishment.
“When it is was time for Kennedy Agyapong to read his copy of the report, he couldn’t find it and his colleagues were hiding it from him. He had to pay to have access to copies of the report, because they knew if he found out, he will expose it to the public”.

He further explained that, the committee had deliberately decided to cover the matter up when it was first captured in the 2010, and ignored the report when it was repeated 2011 report of the Auditor General.

“People think I always support Ken, its not so. If not for Ken, nobody would have known about the Wayome issue. Because the Public Accounts Committee had on two separate occasions ignored to bring the matter to public even after it was repeated in the second year.” he stated.

The Angel FM host also alleged that more than 75 persons, from both the NPP and NDC benefitted from the money and been trying to hide it from the public.
