Gospel singer Cecilia Marfo has made a heartfelt confession about her deep admiration for the late Daddy Lumba, revealing that his songs often move her to tears.
Speaking in an interview, the Afunuba hitmaker said that although she is a gospel musician and Daddy Lumba was a secular artiste, his music touches her spirit. “Even though I do gospel music, I listen to Daddy Lumba’s songs. Sometimes I get emotional because of the depth in his lyrics,” she revealed.
Cecilia Marfo described Daddy Lumba as a musical genius, praising his rare ability to combine lyrics and melody with perfection. “His creativity was divine. I sometimes can’t understand how he arranges his songs so beautifully, it’s excellence beyond words,” she said.
Beyond her admiration for his artistry, Cecilia Marfo also sent a strong message to Daddy Lumba’s family and fans, urging them to maintain peace and unity during this difficult time. She advised that they honor the legend’s memory with dignity and ensure a befitting farewell.
“I advise everyone close to Daddy Lumba’s family to exercise patience and be careful about what they say about him. He was a legend and deserves utmost respect,” she cautioned.
