President Akufo-Addo has announced religious bodies can now start their normal services amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
This according to the President will take effect on Friday, June 5, 2020, but was quick to add that the Maximum duration of service is an hour.
Addressing the nation on Sunday 31st May, 2020 in a televised broadcast to Ghanaians, the president, however, said religious services at the mosques and churches can commence with a maximum number of 100 congregants at a time.
Adding that congregants have to observe a mandatory one metre rule of social distancing during worship.
President Akufo-Addo On March 16, 2020 shut down all educational institutions that’s universities, second cycle schools and basic schools. All churches and public gatherings including funerals were banned due to the coronavirus disease.
