Dr. Bawumia Holds Video Call With Bill Gates Over Covid Vaccine.

Vice President of Ghana, Mahamudu Bawumia, has revealed that he held a video call with Microsoft CEO, Bill Gates over Zoom today, 14th September 2020.

He said they discussed three key issues which are: “1. Ghana’s progress on immunization against the new circulating vaccine-derived polio virus type 2 (cVDPV2), 2. The lessons from Ghana’s policy response to COVID-19, and 3. Ghana’s digitization strategy. bawumia-billgate

Talking about the general overview of the call, Bawumia said: “It was a good exchange of

views and he congratulated Ghana for the strides we have made on several fronts. I also thanked him and the Gates Foundation for their successful work in the fight against polio and other diseases. I was joined in the meeting by Dr. Oko-Boye, Deputy Minister for Health.”
