Three former high-ranking officials of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) have been arrested by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged corruption involving Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Ltd. (SML).
The arrested individuals include Rev. Dr. Ammishaddai Owusu-Amoah, former Commissioner-General of the GRA; Isaac Crentsil, former Commissioner of Customs and now a General Manager at SML; and Christian Tetteh Sottie, ex-Technical Advisor and current Managing Director of SML.
According to the OSP, the arrests are linked to contracts awarded to SML for revenue assurance services. The company had claimed its operations led to significant financial gains for the state, but the OSP is probing potential irregularities and corruption tied to those claims.
All three suspects were detained overnight after failing to meet bail requirements. The investigation forms part of a broader effort by the OSP to scrutinize public contracts and accountability in revenue mobilization.
