He has also organised programmes at various prominent towns in the constituency particularly Juaso, the capital and Obogu. Musicians and politicians alike were the main guests of honour at these events.

As part of his strategies, a group of youth activists, calling themselves the Asante Akyem South Youth Coalition, on Tuesday, 21st January, 2020, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Bice Osei Kuffour at his residence in Juaso to plead with him to pick nomination form to contest in the Parliamentary primaries that will soon be held by the NPP.

Presenting their petition to Obour, the leader of the group, Kwasi Agyei, expressed the hopelessness and long suffering of the youth in the Constituency against the many promises of failed politicians.

The leader explained that one of the aims of their match was to protest against the current MP for Asante-Akyem South Constituency for the inadequate social infrastructure, massive under-development of the area, and lack of political commitment to the growth and development of the constituency.

He also lamented the MP’s seeming lack of vision and direction for the teeming youth in the constituency.

At Obour’s residence, the group knelt and prayed Obour, amidst tears, to accept their request to contest for the Parliamentary seat for the constituency. They believed that per the works he has done with the Christiana Addo Memorial Foundation, he, Obour, was their only hope for 2020 and beyond.

Responding to the teeming youth, Obour expressed shock at the youth’s utmost trust in him as the ‘Moses’ of Asante-Akyem South.

He, however, showed admiration at the group’s gesture and promised to give them a favourable response by Friday, 24th January, 2020.

But adwoaadubianews.com can confirm that the Musician who has always nursed political ambitions will not want to miss this ‘opportunity’ to realise his dream.
