The 3rd Ghana-EU Business Forum took place at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City in Accra. This high-level event brought together policymakers, investors, development agencies, and private sector players from Ghana and the European Union to explore ways to boost trade, attract investments, and strengthen business partnerships.

Organized by the European Union Delegation to Ghana in collaboration with the Government of Ghana, the forum focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation under the EU’s Global Gateway strategy. Themed “Fostering Investment in Non-Traditional Value Chains under the EU Global Gateway Strategy”, the event aligned with Ghana’s economic transformation goals, especially in the areas of green energy, pharmaceutical production, and agribusiness.

The two-day forum featured opening remarks by key figures including Ghana’s Minister of Trade and Industry, K.T. Hammond, the Minister for Finance, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, and the EU Ambassador to Ghana, Irchad Razaaly. Representatives from the European Commission and international financial institutions also participated.

Discussions were centered on value chain development, investment opportunities, sustainable growth, and the role of the private sector in Ghana’s industrialization agenda. Sectoral panels explored practical strategies for collaboration in agribusiness, pharmaceuticals, circular economy, and green energy, all areas targeted for Ghana’s economic diversification and resilience.

A major highlight of the forum was the Business-to-Business (B2B) matchmaking sessions, which allowed over 300 companies and investors from Ghana and Europe to build partnerships, explore joint ventures, and finalize deals. Exhibitions showcased products and innovations from both Ghanaian SMEs and European firms.

In addition to strengthening Ghana-EU economic relations, the forum served as a platform for Ghana to promote its investment potential in non-traditional sectors. According to the EU Delegation, the forum reaffirmed the EU’s commitment to supporting Ghana’s long-term sustainable development through targeted investments, technology transfer, and policy support.

The Ghana-EU Business Forum 2025 builds on the success of the previous two editions, held in 2019 and 2022. It marks a continued effort to align investment flows with Ghana’s development agenda, positioning the country as a key player in the West African economic landscape.
