GHPL: Inter Allies Beat Struggling King Faisal 49

Accra based Inter Allies beat Kumasi King Faisal in a six-goal thriller yesterday after an exciting encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The win for Inter Allies in their match day 7 encounter with Alhaji Grunsah’s side increases the club’s point gathered so far to 7.

Despite not amassing enough points so far, Inter Allies’ utility player, Frank Kwabena Assinki is confident the club will continue its winning ways after match day 7.

“We will work hard to winning games after this game. So far we have played 7 matches and it is not too late but we have to work hard to begin winning more games.”

“We have to try and enter the top six position and me and my team mates will work at it.” Frank told reporters.

King Faisal’s 4-2 loss to Inter Allies in the crunch encounter currently leaves Alhaji Grunsah’s side in the bottom 3 of the Ghana Premier League (GHPL).

Inter Allies have not had a good start to the 7 week old Ghana Premier League.

However they have managed to gather 7 points from 7 matches after beating King Faisal 4-2 with their position set to change on the league table .

A 4-0 home defeat to Aduana Stars began the downward spiral of the club’s start to the league.

However a win over Bechem United revived their hopes before they fell to Karela and Elmina Sharks at home and away respectively .

They managed to hold WAFA to a 1-1 draw before losing to Great Olympics by 1-0.

They grabbed 3 points against King Faisal on match day 7 at the Accra Stadium on Friday
