The perception that having BET award winning rapper Sarkodie on your song will have everyone in Ghana singing it has been deflated by Angletown, the manager of rapper Sarkodie.
In the words of Angeltown, Sarkodie is not a success magnet that attracts the entire country to the artiste he features. He drummed home the point that one will have to take responsibility of promoting their songs even if Sarkodie sand every verse.
Angeltown made it clear that upcoming artistes will be hallucinating if they think Sarkodie is their surest way to breakthrough the music industry and become a household name.
He told Doreen Avio in an interview that his artiste Sarkodie is not a magician who just jumps on a song and instantly makes the song a hit and that any artiste can make a song a hit just as Sarkodie does.
Angeltown’s comment come at the back of recent ranting from musician Nautical that Sarkodie and other A-list artiste in Tema have fold their arms to watch emerging artiste suffer in the industry.
