The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi has fired the opposition NDC for what he terms as attempting to drag Hawa Koomson down.
Reacting to the Minister’s shooting incident on Wontumi TV, the outspoken party chairman claimed that the minister fired the shots in self defense.
Explaining his position further, Wontumi said if anyone should complain, it should be God who is said to live in the air, because the minister fired the shots into the air.
“Has He complained? Has God complained?” He asked.
Chairman Wontumi accused the NDC of trying to mount undue pressure to get the minister fired but assured them that they will not achieve their desire.
