The founder and leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Kofi Akpalu believes he’ll win the upcoming December 7, Presidential election, breaking the hold of the two leading parties the NDC and NPP since 1993 elections.

He’s confident of winning the Central and Volta Regions and performing well in other regions.

“Definitely, I will win the Volta and Oti Regions and I know that with not less than 62% of votes cast. I’m a Voltarian there’s no way my fellow Voltarian will by-pass me and vote for others from other tribes. There’s no way you can rule out tribal politics from Ghanaian politics. I will also do well in Greater Accra and Ashanti Region with not less than 30% each in both regions. I’ll win the Central Region also. Talking about Western North Region I know I’ll do marvelously well there,” Mr Akpalu said in an interview on Kasapa FM.

He reiterated his party’s vision to legalise the cultivation and use of Marijuana in Ghana to accelerate economic growth if voted into office.

Kofi Akpalu added that under his watch, his government would construct Marijuana factories to process the herb for medicinal purposes and export it to earn more foreign exchange.

He said the LPG government would make laws to prevent the wrong usage of Marijuana and educate people about the economic benefits the nation could derive from the herb.
