The member of parliament for Bekwai constituency disclosed this when he appeared on Wontumi TV’s breakfast show in Kumasi on Monday. Affectionately called Joe Wise said he has paid his dues to the people of the constituency and the nation at large hence his decision not to contest again at expiration of his current mandate.
He noted he has been in Parliament since 1996 and believes it is time to make way the young ones stressing that he would be contributing to the ruling New Patriotic Party in different capacity as a member of the party other than a legislature.
He however promised to do his best as an MP for his constituents and the nation. He further added that this is a decision he has thoroughly thought about and would not rescind it in future.
