Controversial Ghanaian media personality Kevin Taylor has added his voice to the ongoing controversy involving the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) redeclaring the former Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, as a fugitive of justice.

The Office of the Special Prosecutor, headed by Kissi Agyebeng has declared the former Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, a wanted person. This comes on the back of his failure to honor an invitation to appear before the OSP for questioning.

The OSP in a press conference stated that Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta was given an ultimatum to return to Ghana and face the OSP regarding multiple high-profile corruption investigations.

Some of these high-profile corruption issues include the National Cathedral Project, the Strategic Mobilization Limited (SML) deal, and the payments from the Ghana Revenue Authority’s tax refund account.

The OSP in his address said, “Mr. Ofori-Atta, you have two choices. You can either return to the jurisdiction voluntarily, or the OSP will enforce your return,” as it aims to trigger proceedings to extradite him to Ghana.

In reaction to this, Kevin Taylor, an outspoken media personality, stated that Ken Ofori-Atta might never return to Ghana willingly unless he is forced to do so.

According to him, a close associate of Ken Ofori-Atta revealed to an undisclosed female acquaintance that the former minister embezzled national funds with his brain and, as a result, might never return to face the wrath of the law.

He added that the only way to get Ken Ofori-Atta to return to Ghana is by involving the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to arrest him and bring him back into the country.
