Kevin Taylor in Kumasi after online threats

U.S.-based Ghanaian journalist Kevin Taylor has officially announced his arrival in Kumasi, days after a viral video surfaced in which a man threatened to shoot him.

In a post shared on social media, Taylor confirmed he had landed in the Ashanti Regional capital, a city he described as “the heart of Ghana.” His visit comes at a tense time, as public concerns continue to mount over recent threats against his life.

Earlier this week, a video circulated widely online showing a man openly declaring his intention to shoot Kevin Taylor. The same individual later resurfaced in another clip, inciting violence and urging Ghanaians to arm themselves and target Nigerians.

Despite the threats, Kevin Taylor appears unfazed and has gone ahead with his activities in Kumasi. His presence is expected to stir reactions, especially given the security concerns raised by many Ghanaians following the online incitement.

Authorities have yet to issue a statement on the threats or confirm any investigations into the matter.
