There were wins for leaders FC Barcelona, Real Madrid as well as Sevilla but Atletico Madrid settled for an away draw.

There are six Ghanaian internationals playing in the best league in Europe and here take you through how they performed in the first week of Covid-19 football in the league in which Lionel Messi, Eden Hazard, Sergio Ramos, Karim Bezema and Luis Suarez ply their trade.

As one of the regular starters in the Atletico Madrid of Diego Simeone for the past three seasons it was not surprising that midfielder Thomas earned another 90-minute appearance against Athletic Bilbao playing every single minute of the game at the San Mames as Atletico returned home with a point after a 1-1 draw. The game marked the 25th league outing for the Ghanaian who has been heavily linked with a move away from the Wanda Metropolitano to Arsenal in the Premier League.

France-bound. Salisu played the full 90 minutes for the club of Ronaldo Luiz Nazario de Lima when they won 2-1 on the road at Leganes and the Ghanaian played well but he received a yellow card. The Ghanaian and his team resumed the La Liga on a horrible note as Lionel Messi and his friends were ruthless against them.

The former Genk central defender came off the bench exactly after the break to play the entire second half for his side but it was not enough to stop prevent a home defeat at the hands of Villareal.

The Black Stars left back was not part of the Mallorca match-day squad that lost by 4-0 at home against FC Barcelona and his absence was due to injury.
