A man has died instantly following a violent clash at Mpasatia in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region, after an altercation allegedly linked to a woman.
According to residents, the deceased rushed to the woman’s house after hearing that another man was with her. The confrontation reportedly escalated into a fight, leading to his sudden death.
An eyewitness recounted that although there were no visible signs of blood on the victim, he realised the man was unresponsive after touching him. He explained that he immediately alerted the woman involved, urging her to help take the man to the hospital.
“I told her to respond to the emergency and take him to the hospital, but she refused, saying she wouldn’t care if he died,” the eyewitness said.
The Assemblyman for the community later confirmed the incident, stating that while he was not present at the scene, reports indicated that the suspect had been identified as Jeffery, while the woman at the centre of the incident is known as Cynthia.
Police are expected to commence investigations into the circumstances surrounding the tragic clash.
