A man has shared an emotional story about unexpectedly meeting his former basic school teacher, who now works at a washing bay. The encounter brought back memories of a painful moment from his childhood that had stayed with him for years.

He recalled how, after failing a paper, the teacher had beaten him and called him “good for nothing.” The words, delivered in front of his classmates, deeply affected him as a young boy and left a lasting emotional scar.

When he spotted the teacher at the washing bay, the man said the teacher looked visibly uncomfortable and even tried to hide while washing his car. The role reversal was striking, but he chose not to humiliate the teacher in return.

Instead, he used the experience as a lesson, urging educators to be more careful with their words and actions towards students. He emphasised that the things teachers say can shape or shatter a child’s confidence.

Despite the past, the man stated he would still tip the teacher well for his service. He noted that showing kindness, even when hurt, is a sign of strength and growth.
