AdubianewsA video making rounds on social media has captured the moment a group of military officers were seen instructing some students of Osu Presbyterian Secondary School, reportedly from Dome, to dress appropriately.
The footage, which has sparked mixed reactions online, shows the officers directing the students to tuck in their shirts and maintain a decent appearance.
The incident is said to have taken place in a public space where the students had gathered in their school uniforms. The military personnel, rather than using force, appeared to calmly supervise and correct the students’ dressing, promoting a culture of discipline and neatness.
Many viewers praised the soldiers for taking a non-violent approach while emphasizing the importance of public appearance and respect for uniforms. Others, however, questioned whether such enforcement by military officers is appropriate in civilian educational matters, sparking a broader conversation on discipline, authority, and boundaries.
As the video continues to trend, school authorities and security officials have yet to comment on the circumstances that led to the interaction. Meanwhile, the Ghanaian public remains divided over whether such interventions by military personnel should be encouraged or regulated.
