Former disc jockey now Pastor Azigiza Junior has shared a challenge that was thrown at him on his wedding day.

The challenge has kept him married for 18years.

“At my wedding, my friends were betting that my marriage wouldn’t last for two weeks…so I was determined to make it last,” he said.

Born Victor Kpapko Addo, the radio personality said he faced a lot of tension at home growing up because of the parenting style his ex-service military father adopted.

“I was very intentional about my marriage and how I wanted it to be because of the tension I faced at home with my ex-service military dad”

“The night before our wedding I remember calling my wife and asking her if she was ready for the marriage…I was ready to cancel it if she had said no,” he said.

Pastor Azigiza junior and wife, Trudy have been married for 18 years with two children.

“I would say I was ‘arrested’ by the Holy Spirit. It was a gradual realization because all the things I used to be interested in didn’t appeal to me anymore.

“I used to smoke a lot but cigarettes became bitter, I used to be a big player and had a number of sugar mummies but I stopped pursuing them, I stopped clubbing and distanced myself from my friends,” he disclosed.
