Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has called on Ghanaians to draw strength from the core values of Christmas—hope, peace, love, and compassion—as the country continues its development journey under the government’s “Resetting Ghana” Agenda.
In her Christmas message, the Vice President encouraged citizens and public officials to reflect on their shared responsibility in advancing national development, stressing that collective effort remains central to building a stronger and more inclusive Ghana.
She underscored the importance of compassion, particularly towards the vulnerable, urging Ghanaians to use the festive season as an opportunity to support those in need and promote unity across communities.
“May this sacred season remind us of the profound gifts of hope, peace, love, and compassion that the Saviour brought to humanity. In this spirit, let us reach out to the vulnerable, share with those in need, and extend kindness to one another,” she said.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang noted that the message of Christmas should go beyond celebration and inspire renewed commitment to service, harmony, and national progress. She linked the season’s symbolism of light and renewal to the government’s broader efforts to reset Ghana’s socio-economic foundations and steer the nation toward sustainable growth.
According to the Vice President, embracing the values of Christmas can help foster unity and purpose as the country works together to realise its development goals under the Resetting Ghana Agenda.
