AdubianewsGhana’s Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has officially returned to the country after spending several weeks in the United Kingdom for medical treatment. She arrived at the Kotoka International Airport on today to a warm welcome from top government officials, including President John Dramani Mahama and First Lady Lordina Mahama.
Her return follows a medical leave that began on March 28, 2025, after she reportedly took ill and was initially treated at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC). She later traveled abroad for further medical care, during which she remained in stable condition according to official updates from the Presidency.
Upon her arrival, Vice President Opoku-Agyemang expressed heartfelt gratitude to Ghanaians for their support and prayers during her recovery period. Her presence was marked by a sense of relief and optimism among party faithful and citizens alike, who had been eagerly anticipating her return.
Vice President Opoku-Agyemang is expected to resume her full official duties in the coming days. Her return is significant as the country continues to navigate key governance, economic, and social issues ahead of the 2025 legislative and economic agenda.
