AdubianewsGhanaian artiste manager Nana Poku Ashis has showered praises on dancehall musician Shatta Wale following the success of his just-ended Shatta Fest concert at the Black Star Square.
The event, held on Saturday, October 18, was organized to mark Shatta Wale’s birthday and drew thousands of music lovers and fans who turned up in large numbers to celebrate the self-acclaimed dancehall king.
According to Nana Poku Ashis, Shatta Wale’s performance and the massive crowd he attracted cement his status as a national treasure and a major asset to Ghana’s tourism industry.
He emphasized that the musician’s ability to gather such a huge audience should be seen as a sign of Ghana’s growing entertainment appeal, adding that Shatta Wale deserves official recognition for his contribution to the nation’s image.
Ashis further appealed to Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, urging him to grant Shatta Wale a diplomatic passport in recognition of his immense impact on the country’s creative arts and tourism sectors.
