Argentine superstar, Paulo Dybala will reportedly leave Juventus this summer after failing to agree on terms on a new contract with the Italian giants.
Dybala’s current deal in Turin runs out at the end of the season and had been in talks with the club over a new long-term deal. The footballer now looks set to walk for free after Juventus changed the terms on a proposal they made to the Argentine.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, there was a verbal agreement in October that would have saw the 28-year-old earn ‘£6.6million (€8m) plus £1.6m (€2m) net salary until 2026’ but Juventus ‘decided to change their proposal’.
The report also claims Dybala is not satisfied with the new conditions being offered to him and he will now ‘open talks with other clubs’.
Following Sunday’s 2-0 win over Salernitana, Massimiliano Allegri was asked about Dybala’s future and he admitted he was unsure if he will remain at the club next season.
The Juventus boss told DAZN: ‘The rapport with Paulo and all the players is good. There are some exchanges of opinion, I am always rather direct, but I am like this for the good of the players, who know they have my faith and admiration.
‘I don’t know if he will be a Juventus player or not, that is a matter for the club. We often talk with the club, it’s not just Paulo whose contract is running down, but also Bernardeschi, De Sciglio, Perin, and Cuadrado.
‘My job is to do well in these final weeks of the season. I can evaluate players, but when it comes to contracts, what the players want, these are other elements.’
He joined Juventus from Palermo in 2015 and has since played 283 times, netting an impressive 113 goals during that time.
