A vibrant member of the United Patriots, members of the (New Patriotic Party) Mr. Kofi Baffour, has passionately called of the vice president of the republic of Ghana, His Excellency Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia to call his supporters to order, in other for him to have a peaceful mind in his office as vice president.
Mr. Baffour suggests that, the timing whereby some Posters of Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia vying for the flagbearership position of the NPP ahead of the next elections have emerged on social media just few months after the party won the December 7 2020 elections is too early and such activity is not right given that; President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has just been sworn into office for his second term.
He explained that; if the NPP will be able to win the next elections it will largely depend on the performance of President Akufo-Addo and vice president Dr Bawumia hence, he should caution his supporters who are setting up such agenda and focus in his office support the president to deliver.
“Bawumia should be focused on his office and make sure all his initiatives like; national property address system, paperless port system and etc. are properly implemented before he thinks of becoming the flag bearer of NPP” he has not presented himself well to be a presidential material and also making a statement such as “We have arrested the cedi from running and have given the keys to IGP”…. Looking at the state of Ghana’s economy today; it is now clear bawumia cannot call himself economic Messiah stated.
In an interview with the media, Mr. Baffour vociferously stated that, Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia should always remember that he is going to campaign base on his track record and as NPP delegates will always look at these factors before considering his flagbearership bid.
