AdubianewsShatta Wale’s manager, Sammy Baah Flex, has fired back at critics who have been downplaying the success of Shatta Wale’s Shatta Fest concert, which filled the Black Star Square with an overwhelming crowd.
According to him, the concert’s massive turnout had nothing to do with the event being free but was instead the result of Shatta Wale’s influence, brand power, and hard work behind the scenes. He explained that the team put in a great deal of effort and dedication to pull off the show, even though time was not on their side.
Sammy Flex revealed that the concert was planned and executed within just 13 days, a short window that required intense commitment, sleepless nights, and precise coordination. He emphasized that it was Shatta Wale’s passion for his fans and his deep connection with the streets that made the event a historic success.
In response to those who claimed the crowd only showed up because entry was free, Sammy Flex dared critics to attempt the same feat and see if they could replicate Shatta Wale’s results.
“To those saying the crowd came because it was free, book the same venue with free entry and let’s see if you can pull the same numbers,” he boldly stated.
He continued by highlighting that Shatta Wale has built an unmatched relationship with his fans over the years, one that goes beyond music. According to him, Shatta Wale’s ability to connect with ordinary Ghanaians and represent their struggles and aspirations is what fuels his loyal fanbase.
Sammy Flex noted that what was witnessed at the Black Star Square was not just a concert but a cultural moment, a reflection of how far Ghanaian music has come and how one artist’s determination can unite thousands. He urged industry players to celebrate such achievements instead of finding faults, as it helps project Ghana’s creative industry to the world.
The Shatta Fest concert, which took place on Saturday, October 18, was organized to mark Shatta Wale’s birthday and saw an unforgettable display of music, lights, and crowd energy that many have described as one of the biggest shows ever in Ghana’s entertainment history.
