AdubianewsGhanaian gospel musician Scott Evans has condemned the nonchalant behavior of the gospel musical team, Team Eternity, towards the just-ended Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).
Speaking in an interview with Doreen Avio on Hitz FM, the sensational gospel act described the actions of the musical group as disrespectful for refusing to acknowledge the award scheme.
“Inasmuch as we are doing ministry, we find ourselves in an industry. We have to respect and acknowledge whatever the industry gives to us,” he stated.
According to Scott Evans, Team Eternity’s failure to acknowledge their nominations only validated earlier criticisms from media figures like DJ Slim and Nii Noi.
“For me, I think it’s so disrespectful, and it’s not right for them to get a nomination and not acknowledge it, not to post it,” he asserted.
He stressed that if the team wants to be acknowledged in upcoming award shows, they must reciprocate the respect shown to them by the scheme.
“This is just your first global song, and you’re behaving like this. What happens if you don’t get it again, or you get it again, and they refuse to give you their time and platform? If you want the media to respect you, you also need to respect them,” he noted.
