Mr. Oppong Boanuh, pleaded with the people of the Savannah region to ensure peace, stability and harmony in the during and after the December polls. He also sent a word of caution to the people to stop instant justice and taking the law into their own hands.
The regional minister pleaded with Mr. Boanuh to establish more police stations in the region to reduce the rate of crime in the area. The IGP also assured them, he would take the message to national headquarters so that action would be taken immediately. This is what the IGP said about the lynching of the 90 year old woman; “let me thank the Savannah Regional Minister for supporting the police administration which led to the arrest of some of the suspects connected to the lynching of the 90-year-old woman at Kafaba, “The Region is grateful to you and your men for the swiftness in responding to events in the past that compromised security”.
