AdubianewsSeldom do we pass by each other on the street not showing any act of caring. Why do we query the grief and sorrows on the faces of others but never deepen the smiles on the faces of happy soul?
Our world of today seem to be in a state of stagnation not because it’s hibernating or brooding but the regrets most of us are living with from past worse experiences.
“I grew up only to see my only home to be the street, my mom struggled to find one meal a day for me not to even talk of two or three times meal a day because my so called dad never fathered me. Whilst we were left uncared by the government, we had no Mother Teresa who took care of us when we were sick, mom was forced to pay tax even as a self employed goods carrier commonly known among most indigenous as ” kayaye” who only made meager profit from carrying people’s goods in the market during the hot afternoons. One night it was hell, as I forced to watch my mom being raped by thugs and myself being tortured when I shouted for help. The little token mom made during the day being was taken away from her by these wicked muscular thugs. This worst experience has ruined my life and made me hate human, this influenced me to join a robbery gang.”
This is the story of the poor hopeless street child. Yeah, you can decide to hate, criticise, join gangs or that secret society or indulge yourself in substance abuse to compensate for the lost love or as a revenge for a denial to exercise your fundamental human right. But the truth is pondering on worst experiences is just an invitation of greater misfortunes.
There is no one anywhere coming to save you from your anger, depression or frustration but yourself. If you’ve never discovered this secret then it’s too late to think people care about your tears, 80 percent of the people are not concerned about your feelings, 15 percent are happy to see you in tears and the remaining 5 percent feel how you do when your soul is troubled only when they talk with you or few minutes after talking with you.
But 100 percent of people around you will wine and dine with you when you are crowned a success. Though many people might be jealous and envious of your achievement, but deep within their hearts they’d be proud of you.
The question is why then do you still feel sorry for ourselves if people don’t care about us genuinely?
Do you think Joanne Kathleen Rowling could have been the first billionaire to acquire her fortune through writing if she had not been rejected twelve times from publishing her award winning novel “HARRY PORTER” ?
Or would the world have ever known a certain Jack Ma if he had not failed over and over again?
Or think about it, would the people of South Africa been freed had it no been because of a certain Nelson Mandela?
As a matter of fact we go through moments of emotional hurt to be properly instructed but not to be obstructed and to always turn our stories around.
Discipline your thinking, focus your mind on what you want to have get it more and off the things you hate because what you feed grows.
You have been assigned a duty you alone can perform, do not die with that precious gift unused or misused. You deserve better, change your thinking and change your life.
