AdubianewsVeteran Ghanaian rapper Tinny has opened up about his long-standing relationship with dancehall star Shatta Wale, revealing the deep bond they have shared since the early days of Wale’s music journey.
In an interview with Doreen Avio on Hitz FM, Tinny recounted how he met Shatta Wale back in 2004, when the latter was still hustling on the streets and trying to make a name for himself in the industry. “I’ve always seen Shatta as a son,” he said, describing how their friendship began and evolved over the years.
According to Tinny, what first caught his attention was not just Wale’s musical talent, but also his passion, energy, and the way he carried himself. “I loved his talent and realized he needed help. What drew me closer wasn’t only his gift but his demeanor and attitude,” he explained.
He further revealed that Shatta Wale’s strong-willed and fearless nature was part of what made him admire him even more. “His ‘no nonsense’ behavior made me love him. I felt he needed to add more strength to that character to make him stand out,” Tinny noted.
The rapper said he has always encouraged Shatta Wale to stay true to himself and remain confident in his craft, adding that authenticity has been one of Wale’s greatest strengths throughout his career.
