AdubianewsA group of Ghanaian women has publicly appealed to President John Mahama to consider granting a pardon to embattled spiritualist Nana Agradaa. The women, expressing their views in a video circulating on social media, argued that despite her past actions, Agradaa deserves a second chance.
They acknowledged that Nana Agradaa may have committed crimes, but insisted that her contributions to society, especially her financial help to the underprivileged, should not be ignored. According to them, she has supported many Ghanaians by paying school fees and assisting those facing difficult life situations.
The women believe her detention is harsh and expressed hope that she would not repeat such offenses if released. One woman in the video said she would have personally forgiven Agradaa if she had been one of her victims, suggesting that people deserve the opportunity to reform.
The appeal adds to the growing debate surrounding Agradaa’s legal troubles and whether her charitable actions should influence the outcome of her case. The women’s plea was directed squarely at the presidency, reflecting a broader sentiment among some of her supporters.
Watch the video below:
“If Nana Agradaa had ever defrauded me, I would have forgiven her. Human beings make mistakes, no one is perfect. We know she has committed crimes, but we plead for forgiveness and ask that she be released.”
