Founder and leader of the Progressive Peoples Party, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has been warned against contesting in the upcoming presidential race in December of this year if he is serious about protecting his life and those of his family.

According to Joseph Osei Yeboah (JOY), a third time presidential hopeful, any such move will put him (Nduom) and his family in harm’s way as many aggrieved customers of his now defunct bank and investment firm may attempt to harm him should he be on the campaign trail.

Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom has come under intense pressure from customers since he lost two of his financial houses; GN Bank and the Gold Coast Fund Management to the financial sector clean up by government.

Although the President of the Groupe Nduom business conglomerate is yet to announce plans of joining the presidential race, the 2012 and 2016 Independent candidate, Joseph Osei Yeboah is cautioning against any such thoughts by the embattled businessman.

“I will advise Paa Kwasi Nduom to step aside and immediately rescind his decision if he has the intention. The aggrieved customers will launch an attack on him if he attempts to mount the podium to campaign; he will be pelted with stones.

“The customers are bitter and won’t forgive him if they get hold of him… Some of the aggrieved customers have died and others have contracted stroke. I don’t think he will even risk his life,” he stated.

Mr Osei Yeboah has however declared his intention to join the presidential race for the third time, with the slogan “Your vote is your wisdom”.

He has urged the electorate to make him their preferred choice for the presidency if the country is to see a turnaround in its fortunes.

“The contest will be among myself, President Nana Addo and John Mahama. Don’t vote for Nana Addo or Mahama and come complaining there is no alternative,” he said.
