A young Ghanaian man has sparked debate online after sharing a personal and controversial encounter with a wealthy gay man who allegedly attempted to lure him into a sexual relationship.
In a video interview with a popular social media personality, the man recounted how it all began at a wedding ceremony where he impressed guests with his energetic dance moves. After the event, an older man approached him, complimented his performance, and handed him a business card.
Curious, the young man later contacted the individual, who invited him to a hotel and subtly hinted that he should appear “sumptuous.” Although uneasy, he honored the invitation.
Upon arriving, he was asked to take a shower, after which the man made sexual advances. As he tried to resist, the older man requested his bank account details and instantly transferred GH₵70,000 to him.
The young man admitted that the generous amount left him confused and conflicted, questioning whether to continue resisting or give in. He concluded by stating, “No one plans to be gay,” suggesting that financial temptations can sometimes push individuals toward actions they never intended.
