Kaywa, a well-known music producer, has warned his former signees Mr Drew and Lasmid to refrain from criticising the platform or individuals who have helped shape their careers to where they are now.
Although the two are no longer affiliated with the record company, Kaywa claims that it was via his platform that they earned notoriety and the opportunity to expose their abilities to a wider audience.
Mr Drew made contentious statements that appeared to disparage his former boss, prompting the music producer’s reply.
Mr Drew and Lasmid, who had previously benefited from Kaywa’s guidance and mentorship, seemingly disregarded the significance of the platform that contributed to their success.
“Don’t insult the platform that brought you where you are today” Kaywa said in an interview on 3FM.
The music producer emphasized the need of expressing thanks and appreciation to people who helped them on their artistic path.
