Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, has rallied support for his candidacy, outlining the NPP’s achievements as a compelling case for continued leadership. Addressing an enthusiastic crowd in Oforikrom in the Ashanti Region, Dr. Bawumia voiced his confidence in the party’s prospects for victory in the December 7th election, attributing the NPP’s strong position to its track record of impactful policies.
In his speech, Dr. Bawumia emphasized the transformative role of the NPP’s flagship programs in improving the lives of Ghanaians. Highlighting the Free Senior High School (Free SHS) policy, he described it as a landmark initiative that has removed financial barriers to secondary education, allowing thousands of young Ghanaians to pursue their studies. He also praised the party’s broader social intervention efforts, aimed at supporting low-income families and reducing poverty across the nation.
Dr. Bawumia further credited the Planting for Food and Jobs initiative, the One District, One Factory policy, and key digitalization reforms as pillars of the NPP’s economic strategy. He argued that these policies have not only created jobs but have also fostered economic stability and growth, with positive impacts reaching communities across Ghana. “Our approach to governance has been centered on the welfare of Ghanaians,” Dr. Bawumia noted, adding that these initiatives set the NPP apart as the best choice to guide the nation forward.
He urged Ghanaians to endorse the NPP in December to sustain the momentum in development and ensure further advancements in infrastructure, healthcare, and education. Concluding his remarks, Dr. Bawumia affirmed his commitment to driving Ghana’s progress: “Victory is within reach. With your support, we will win Election 2024. Bawumia will be the next president of Ghana.”
