AdubianewsThe Ministry of Education has included 25 private senior high schools in the 2025 school selection process under the Free SHS programme.
This is the first time private schools have been featured in the Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS), offering candidates more choices for second-cycle education.
These newly approved schools fall under Category E and are co-educational day schools spread across all 16 regions of Ghana. They offer various academic programmes, including General Arts, Science, Business, Technical, Visual Arts, Home Economics, and Agriculture.
To accommodate this update, the Ghana Education Service (GES) has extended the school selection deadline to Wednesday, June 25, 2025. This extension gives students and parents more time to make informed decisions. The notice was signed by Mr. Prince Agyemang-Duah, Director of the Schools and Instruction Division at GES.
