Market women in Krofrom have pledged their support for President John Dramani Mahama’s re-election campaign, contingent on his promise to complete the long-abandoned Krofrom market project. Their declaration follows the President’s recent visit to the site, where he gave firm assurances to revive and finish the project.
The project, which has been left incomplete for over a decade, has long been a source of frustration for the trading community in the area. Mahama’s renewed commitment has rekindled hope among the traders, many of whom expressed optimism about finally seeing progress.
During the visit, the President outlined his intention to prioritize the market’s completion if given the mandate in the upcoming election. The traders said they were encouraged by his presence and words, which they believe reflect a genuine concern for their welfare.
The market women, visibly elated, noted that the project’s completion would significantly boost economic activities in the area and improve their livelihoods. They emphasized that their support will be solidified once they see tangible work begin on the stalled structure.
Their response signals a strong political endorsement, rooted not in party loyalty but in practical expectations tied to infrastructure and economic opportunity in Krofrom.
