AdubianewsA ride-hailing driver had a close brush with danger after narrowly escaping an attempted car snatching incident around 3 a.m. at Awudome in Accra. The incident left his windscreen shattered, with visible damage to his vehicle captured in a video making rounds on social media.
The driver reported that the assailants, who appeared to be dressed in police uniforms, approached him under the guise of a routine check. Moments later, they began pelting his vehicle with stones in an apparent attempt to force him out.
Sensing danger, the driver quickly reversed and sped off from the scene, narrowly avoiding what could have been a violent confrontation. His quick reaction is believed to have saved him from possible harm or vehicle theft.
