Deputy Attorney General Dr. Justice Srem Sai has assured Ghanaians that Attorney General Dr. Dominic Ayine will never pursue prosecution without strong evidence to support a conviction.

Speaking on JoyNews’ PM Express, Dr. Srem Sai said this unwavering legal principle is what fuels his confidence in both the Attorney General and his own role in the Justice Ministry.

“He will not go to court unless he has sufficient evidence to convince himself that the prosecution may be successful,” Dr. Srem Sai stated, adding that Ayine’s actions are rooted in legal discipline, not political or public pressure.

Describing Dr. Ayine as a man of principle, Srem Sai emphasized that the Attorney General upholds the law above all else. He noted that his decision to accept the deputy role was heavily influenced by Ayine’s character and reputation, recalling their long-standing relationship since law school, where Ayine was his lecturer in constitutional and administrative law.

Despite the high expectations and intense workload that come with the job, Dr. Srem Sai expressed comfort in knowing that the legal processes are guided by integrity.

“It’s not been easy,” he admitted, “but with a principled leader like Dr. Ayine, I feel very confident in our mission at the Attorney General’s Department.”
