A Nigerian in the U.S.A accused of fraud has had his private jet seized by authorities in the state of Georgia.
The Nigerian citizen, whose name is being witheld for security purporses, has been accused of carrying out a multimillion-dollar scam.
He’s currently facing trial and authorities seized the private plane as part of the investigations.
The seizure was carried out Tuesday at the Peachtree DeKalb Airport in Georgia.
“For the most part, people don’t even understand. They don’t know what’s happening in Atlanta, Georgia,” one of the special agents involved with the case said.
“This is all day, every day. I mean, this is the fruits of our labour, and this is the successes of a great team effort by our state, local and federal partners coming together to hit the bad guys where it hurts, in their pocket.
“When we see a certain type of aircraft get sold, it raises our suspicions,” the agent added.
