AdubianewsRenowned Ghanaian highlife musician, George Kwabena Adu, also known as Kwabena Kwabena as his stage name has opened up on the idea behind his seventh album.
In an interview on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz, Kwabena Kwabena stated that his seventh album, titled “God of Restoration,” was a promise he made to God during his days as an upcoming musician.
He recounted that in 2005, when he released his first album, he was faced with a lot of challenges, which even discouraged him from releasing any other album afterwards.
However, he prayed to God and made a promise to help him record six successful albums to his credit, just as He used six days to create the world and rested on the seventh day, he will dedicate his seventh album as a sign of gratitude.
“If you’ve followed my interviews over time, you will remember me saying countless times that I was going to dedicate my seventh studio recording to God,” he said.
Recounting his uprising, Kwabena Kwabena stated, “After recording my first album in 2005, we encountered some challenges. The challenges made it seem I wouldn’t be able to record any album. So I prayed to God and told Him, it took Him six days to create the world, and on the seventh day He rested. So I’m making this covenant with Him that if He makes me record six albums to my name, my seventh studio project I will dedicate that project to Him as my form of appreciation to tell him how grateful I am for the journey,” he said.
He stated that since God made it possible for him to record his six albums, he decided to honor his promise by dedicating the album to God.
