Bukom Banku in tears as he pleads with President Mahama to pardon Nana Agradaa after her 15-year prison sentence

Ghanaian retired boxer Bukom Banku has made an emotional plea to President John Mahama, urging him to forgive and pardon Nana Agradaa following her 15-year prison sentence.

In a tearful video that has since gone viral, Bukom Banku referred to Mahama as the “father of the nation” and said, “Please, even if Nana Agradaa has sinned against you, forgive her and look into her case.”

The former boxer acknowledged Agradaa’s controversial history, including allegations of duping unsuspecting victims and intimidating them with macho men. However, he insisted that she still deserved mercy. According to him, Agradaa’s social media behavior may have played a role in her downfall, citing her frequent outbursts and online feuds.

Despite acknowledging political differences between himself and the self-styled evangelist, Bukom Banku emphasized that Agradaa is still a human being and should be treated with compassion.

His emotional appeal adds to ongoing public debates surrounding Agradaa’s conviction and the broader issue of presidential clemency for controversial public figures.
