John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), is set to intensify his campaign efforts with a three-day tour of the Western Region, spanning from Monday, November 25, to Wednesday, November 27, 2024.

The tour follows a successful five-day engagement in the Eastern Region and comes as part of his final push to galvanize support across the country, with less than two weeks to the crucial December 7 general election.

Mr. Mahama’s itinerary begins with a courtesy call on the Western Regional House of Chiefs. This visit underscores his commitment to engaging traditional authorities and seeking their counsel and blessings. Following this, he will meet with religious leaders in the region, reflecting his efforts to connect with diverse community groups.

The NDC flagbearer will then tour various constituencies, including Wassa East, Shama, Essikadu-Ketan, Sekondi, Effia, Kwesimintsim, and Takoradi. These stops will allow him to directly interact with voters, share his vision for Ghana, and rally support for the NDC’s parliamentary candidates in the region.

Mahama’s Western Region visit is strategically timed, as the region remains a critical battleground in the upcoming elections. By engaging with chiefs, religious leaders, and grassroots supporters, he aims to consolidate the NDC’s influence and address pressing concerns of the electorate.

This tour is part of the NDC’s broader strategy to intensify ground operations in key regions nationwide. It reflects Mahama’s resolve to present a robust case for his leadership and the NDC’s policies, as he seeks a return to the presidency.

The tour promises to be a pivotal moment in the campaign, with Mahama poised to make significant inroads in the Western Region.
