A commercial driver caused a stir after cursing a police officer and his family, claiming he was forced to pay GHS150 for a traffic offense he never committed.

The incident happened near a busy junction and was caught on video, which quickly spread across social media. Many Ghanaians reacted strongly, with some sharing similar frustrations over traffic stops.

Eyewitnesses said the officer accused the driver of breaking a traffic rule. The driver denied any wrongdoing but still paid GHS150 to avoid further trouble. After the payment, he jumped into a roadside gutter and began shouting curses aimed at the officer and his entire family.

In the video, the barefoot driver looks visibly upset as he calls on spiritual forces to punish the officer. His dramatic actions drew the attention of people nearby. Some bystanders supported him and criticized what they called frequent acts of extortion by traffic officers.

The video has sparked renewed public concern about police misconduct. Many people are now calling on the Ghana Police Service to investigate the matter. They also want better training and supervision for traffic officers to help restore public trust and prevent abuse.
